Detroit Metro Airport - Securing Checkpoints and Alleviation of Shutdowns

Detroit Metro, like so many other airports in the U.S. and around the world, suffered shutdowns from breaches long before the incidents of September 2001. In fact, in 1998 Detroit Metro made a great initiative to install a system that would help alleviate problems due to shutdowns. In the past, shutdowns have typically been the result of a security breach at the checkpoint.
