Pelco announced a new integration partnership with Orsus®, the pioneer in the field of Situation Management. Situator from Orsus now fully integrates with the enhanced digital video recording capabilities of the Pelco DX8000 and DX8100 DVRs, and this alliance enables those who have deployed or plan to implement digital video recording solutions from Pelco to seamlessly integrate these devices with Situator.
“We were attracted to building a relationship with Orsus based on the solid reputation of its Situator platform, how well it
performs, and how easily it can integrate with any system,” said Terry Carver, API Business Development Manager with Pelco. “With all of the joint customers that we have in common, there will be a clear benefit from this partnership. It allows us to
seamlessly tie our interests all together.”
For Pelco, the partnership with Orsus builds upon its commitment to be an Open Systems Provider as it has continued to
complete integration projects throughout 2008.
“We are honored about the opportunity to work with Pelco, one of the most respected companies in the security industry,” said Omer Tishler, Director Product Management at Orsus. “This partnership builds upon our commitment to incorporate more
functionality in Situator, our situation management platform, and to seamlessly integrate with Pelco’s scalable DVR solutions.”
The Orsus-Pelco integration enables organizations to employ an endless number of video surveillance technologies as a single, tightly integrated situational awareness system, without adding new hardware, and viewed on a single console.
Expandable to meet future security requirements, the DX8100 series includes a Windows XP embedded operating system and a full-screen playback mode that provides easy video review. According to Pelco management, it also provides unlimited
connections for live view through a Web browser in a multicasting-enabled network.
