Integration of VideoIQ iCVR With OnSSI Provides Customers With Enhanced Performance, Functionality and Scalability for Their IP Video Security Systems
VideoIQ and On-Net Surveillance Systems, Inc. (OnSSI) have announced the integration of the VideoIQ iCVR with OnSSI’s intelligent IP video surveillance management platform. This integrated solution enables OnSSI customers to realize the tremendous security, reliability and infrastructure benefits delivered by the VideoIQ iCVR, the world’s first and only family of intelligent video cameras and encoders with a built-in DVR.
OnSSI’s open-architecture, non-proprietary, video-centric software platform allows users to leverage the capabilities of the VideoIQ iCVR and its next-generation analytics, including threat identification, alarm monitoring and live video viewing. The integration of OnSSI’s software with the iCVR provides users with flexible video storage options. Video can be stored in the OnSSI NVR or in the iCVR camera, or both. Video stored in the iCVR can be accessed by the OnSSI NetDVMS client, which is ideal for projects where bandwidth is limited, since no bandwidth is needed for video recording. VideoIQ iCVR cameras and encoders now work with version 6.5 or later of NetDVMS, NetDVR and Prosight.
“OnSSI is known for delivering solutions to customers with the very best in video, analysis, delivery forensics and response technologies, and our integration with the VideoIQ iCVR is no exception,” said Gadi Piran, president and chief technology officer, OnSSI, Inc. “The integration of NetDVMS, NetDVR and Prosight with the iCVR provides an efficient means for our customers to harness its powerful capabilities and more efficiently manage their IP video surveillance systems.”
The award-winning VideoIQ iCVR is the only intelligent camera and encoder family that requires no calibration—users can simply plug it in and begin using it immediately. The built-in analytics adapt to changes in the environment, eliminating maintenance costs that have plagued video analytics systems in the past.
“The integration of the VideoIQ iCVR with OnSSI’s innovative IP-based platform provides customers with the functionality, ease of use, scalability and lower total cost of ownership they are looking for in an intelligent video solution,” said Scott Schnell, president and chief executive officer, VideoIQ. “VideoIQ is very pleased to collaborate with OnSSI and we look forward to continuing to jointly deliver best-in-class IP video surveillance solutions to our global customers.”
