ScanSource Security offers Recycling and Disposal Program
ScanSource has created a recycling and disposal program for Digital Video Recorder (DVR) products through a partnership with E-Waste, an end-of-life technology waste management company. As one of the only physical security distributors offering this service, ScanSource Security hopes to communicate the importance of disposing of products in a legally sound and environmentally responsible manner. The value-added distributor will provide this program to dealers and integrators at no charge for DVR products until the end of June and for a cost-effective fee thereafter.

OnSSI Software Boosts Surveillance at Wayne County Jail
Facing the need for a scalable system with video recording and archiving, the Wayne County, New York, Office of the Sheriff has updated their county jail's video surveillance system with a hybrid analog/IP system that includes Ocularis Recorder NetDVMS and Ocularis Client software from OnSSI. Ocularis makes it easy for jail personnel to access video and recordings at almost every workstation on the network, and can expand as the facility and need grows.

Honeywell Video and NAV Help Protect Las Vegas Mega Complex
A Honeywell multi-million dollar video surveillance system is helping secure the newest mega complex on the Las Vegas Strip, CityCenter. Seamlessly integrating Honeywell's newest IP video technology with analog video and the facility's IT systems, all the technology is managed under a single software platform, Honeywell's MAXPRO VMS (video-management system). The massive CityCenter complex, which is the largest privately funded construction project in U.S. history, is an 18-million square-foot facility spread over 67 acres. The Honeywell video system, installed by integrator North American Video, captures data from CityCenter's parking and retail locations, as well as the ARIA Resort and Casino, which includes more than 4,000 hotel rooms, 10 bars and lounges, and a 150,000 square-foot gaming space.
