RADCO Deploys Brivo for 1,300-Unit California Residential Complex
The RADCO Companies, a coast-to-coast developer specializing in complicated real estate transactions and workouts, has deployed Brivo ACS WebService at The Met at Warner Center in Woodland Hills, CA to manage the residential complex's access control, telephone entry and visitor management systems, and video surveillance. The Met comprises 17 three-story buildings, each with 69 to 179 units per building. All told, the complex boasts a community room, six tennis courts, four pools, a fitness center, spa, and a 24-hour guard presence. Gemini Security is the integrator on this large project.

Milestone IP Protects Auschwitz
Milestone Systems is the security solution of choice for the police of Osweicim, the Polish town that draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to the former Nazi concentration camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau. A need to protect the residents and tourists called for implementation by Milestone Certified Partner Mirare of a large system comprised of 12 recording servers with Milestone XProtect Enterprise; and one with XProtect Central to manage servers from one location. They coordinate operation of about 80 cameras made by Axis, Vivotek and Acti.

Axis Cameras at Gaming Facilities and Travel Plazas
The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, the third largest tribe in the U.S., has expanded its use of Axis network video cameras to include more than 1,000 cameras at six casinos. The tribe decided to move to IP video because there was a need for high quality video recordings to be used as evidence for the prosecution of certain events.

Panasonic Certified Reseller Program for IP Video
Panasonic System Solutions Company is responding to the growing demand for Panasonic's i-Pro line of IP-based video surveillance technologies with Panasonic's i-Pro Certified Reseller Program, which promotes education and training to resellers to better enable them to design, implement and support new installations in the IP security market. The program also provides exclusive product availability, sales and technical training and other support resources.

Pelco IP Video System Selected at Turkish Airport
A complete Pelco solution is being installed at Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport. The Pelco Endura 2.0 IP video system will have more than 1,300 cameras, of which approximately 900 are Sarix megapixel cameras. About 60 NSM5200 Series Network Storage Managers will be used for recording. The installation is being performed by Atilgan Yilmaz, General Manager, Corvus.

NUUO offers Crossover from DVR to NVR
NUUO's latest innovative software IP+ version 3.2 (Network Video Recorder) supports transcoding, digital watermark and simultaneous multiple live view display. The IP+3.2 allows users to simultaneously record and display live different frame rates and resolutions. It reduces total viewing and storage cost. A multiple live-view display assists remote operators/users to obtain a different live video stream from multiple NUUO servers such as DVR, NVR, and Hybrid. A dual monitor displaying up to 128 channels is a new function exclusive to this model.

IndigoVision will be revealing for the first time a new range of high-performance standalone Network Video Recorders (NVRs) for its complete end-to-end IP Video solution at the ASIS 2009 show on September 21-24, 2009, in Anaheim, CA. The new NVR-AS 3000 range has more than double the performance of the company's existing models and has excellent green credentials with extremely low power consumption. The high-performance specification of the new NVRs, coupled with IndigoVision's compression technology means that each NVR can record both MPEG-4 and H.264 video from multiple cameras for long periods.

Waterford Township Upgrades Water Security with IQinVision IP Cameras
Waterford Township, MI, is utilizing IQinVision IQeye megapixel cameras as part of a comprehensive IP video solution to better protect its valuable water resources. Tallahassee, Florida-based Mainline Information Systems was selected to provide video surveillance consulting, solution design, and integration. The project enhances the multi-phased broadband wireless system the township put in back in 2003.

ioimage Protects Major Auto Plant
ioimage products have been installed at Bosch Korea's automotive motor plant in Buyong (RBKB). The RBKB plant was retrofitted with ioimage intelligent video encoders with built-in self-sustained video analytics, providing automatic autonomous Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) and trespassing applications. Jung Dong Young of Samsung Aerospace Information Co Ltd installed the system in collaboration with local ioimage partner G2 Solomon Co. Ltd.

West Edmonton Mall Makes Major Access Control Upgrade with Genetec
The West Edmonton Mall (WEM), in Alberta, Canada, has selected and installed Synergis from Genetec for a major access control system upgrade. The security staff at WEM uses Synergis to protect over 70 doors in North America's largest shopping and entertainment center. One of the main benefits with Synergis is the ability to integrate with the Windows Active Directory, according to Joseph Schuldhaus, VP of Information Technology at Triple Five Group of Companies. The Active Directory integration in Synergis has taken a lot of the day-to-day administration work away from HR personnel who no longer have to wait for Security to issue or activate a badge.

Brazilian Subway Goes Digital with VIVOTEK IP Surveillance System
Since its establishment in early 2000, the Brazilian subway system, which carries an average of 140,000 passengers every day, has become indispensable to Brazilian citizens.
