Arecont Vision's AV10005 10 Megapixel Dual-Mode Camera
Arecont Vision's AV10005 is the world's first H.264 Dual Mode 10MP/1080p camera. The innovative Dual Mode camera combines the resolution of a 10 megapixel camera and a full HD 1080p at 30fps camera into one camera system. Available in color, day/night and color auto-iris versions, the AV10005 provides the versatility to crop the field-of-view to any resolution (5MP, 3MP, etc.), select 4x3 or 16x9 (1080p HDTV) aspect ratio, and apply H.264 or MJPEG compression to best suit the application. In 10MP mode, the cameraprovides 3648x2752 pixel resolution at 6 frames-per-second (fps). In 1080 mode, it provides Full HD1920x1080 at 30 frames per second.

OnSSI System Records Military Enactments for Tactical Training

Sturgis Rally's Full Throttle Saloon Relies on IQinVision Megapixel Quality
Michael Ballard's Full Throttle Saloon, the epicenter of the world-famous Sturgis Motorcycle Rally held earlier this month, is armed for the event by deploying a mix of IQinVision's IQeye cameras for security and surveillance. The integrator for the unique installation is Clearwater Security and Investigations, Spearfish, South Dakota. This year's 70th Sturgis Rally was held August 9-15, and according to Jeff Haasb, owner of Clearwater Security and Investigations, his team of security experts had an arsenal of tools deployed at the Full Throttle, more powerful than some of the casinos in Las Vegas, to keep an eye the cash and make sure that Ballard's money stayed where it was supposed to.

Study: BriefCam Video Synopsis Technology Cuts Video Review Time
BriefCam, the developer and provider of Video Synopsis announces a new algorithm that offers a higher level of ordering which can reduce synopsis length by as much as 98%, depending on video recorder type, number of events and user preferences. City of Albuquerque Standardizes on DVTel IP Video Solution
The City of Albuquerque (NM) is utilizing the DVTel intelligent Security Operations Center (iSOC) to manage a city-wide IP video surveillance project. SCI, Inc. is the integrator partner on this long running project installation and its continued roll-out. Presently, approximately 300 cameras, managed by the DVTel iSOC, monitor facilities throughout the city ranging from the downtown City complex to solid waste facilities to a ground-breaking Family Advocacy Center.
Mark Shepherd, Director of Security, City of Albuquerque, explained the challenge that faced him and David Levine, SCI President, at project inception, "We have 6,000 employees, 18 different departments, 800 city-owned buildings spread across 400 square miles, and every department has their own budget and their own priorities. Belgium Town Upgrades Surveillance with IndigoVision IP Video
The Belgium town of Koekelberg has upgraded its obsolete digital surveillance system with a distributed IP Video solution from IndigoVision.
