Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Deploys DVTel Solution
   A new future-proof video surveillance system provides security and supports patient care at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. The hospital is utilizing the DVTel intelligent Security Operations Center (iSOC) to provide comprehensive security for its growing hospital complex and to support efforts to constantly improve and streamline patient care. Innovative Systems, Inc. has been working with the hospital to design, install, and upgrade the system over a six-year project timeframe. The rapidly growing IP video surveillance system comprises over 250 cameras installed in five existing buildings and parking structures in the complex.

Altronix Access Power Controller Receives UL Listing
   The ACM4 access power controllers from Altronix which provide a scalable cost-effective access control solution are now UL listed. The ACM4 series consists of four output access power controllers. Each product in the ACM4 series routes and distributes 12 to 24 volts AC or DC for operation and control of access hardware devices. Four independently controlled outputs may be individually selected for fail-safe or fail-secure operation. 
IndigoVision IP-CCTV Protects Pearl of the Orient
   IndigoVision's complete end-to-end IP video technology is at the heart of a new integrated public safety system on Penang Island. The most populated of Malaysia's islands, Penang has often been called the Pearl of the Orient. Its capital Georgetown attracts many tourists and as with other city centers around the world it faces a complex security environment, including criminal activity and traffic issues. The new CCTV surveillance project was designed and installed by IndigoVision's local Approved Partner, CyberGuard Systems.
Industry Vet Joins Board of VideoIQ
   VideoIQ, Inc. announces the addition of Don Bulens to its board of directors. Bulens is an industry veteran with extensive experience in strategically building companies from early-stage to large market leaders.
   "Don knows what it takes to build a company, successfully pioneer a market, and introduce revolutionary benefits to an established marketplace," said Scott Schnell, CEO of VideoIQ. "In particular, his expertise in bringing ground-breaking products through the channel will be a tremendous asset."  

Garrett.com Converter Switch Converts Anything to Anything
   The new Magnum CSG14U Universal Converter Switch from Garrett.com can handle any Gigabit fiber type - multi-mode and single-mode - and fiber media distance with a selection of Gb SFP fiber transceivers, up to two of which can be plugged in. The CSG14U can also handle any 100Mb fiber media type and distance in the same way, with a selection of 100Mb SFP fiber transceivers that similarly plug in. For copper media attachment, there is a 10/100/1000 auto-negotiating RJ-45 port. Where Gb Ethernet is in use, the CSG14U converts all media combinations.
Venezuela's Landmark Mega-Complex Selects Genetec
   Genetec reports that the largest Office and Commercial Complex in South America, Centro Ciudad Comercial Tamanaco (CCCT), has implemented Omnicast, Genetec's IP video surveillance solution, to protect the visitors, tenants and owners of the highly trafficked site.

NAV Video Opens New Headquarters
   North American Video (NAV) celebrated the grand opening of a new facility in Pine Brook, NJ which houses the company's newly created Integrated Business Solutions Division. Located just west of Manhattan across the New Jersey border, the new facility is staffed by a team of veteran security professionals with extensive experience and established business connections in the industry.
   "North American Video's newly formed Integrated Business Solutions Division was carefully assembled in August to support our business plan for continued growth in the government, commercial and industrial markets," said Jason Oakley, CEO, NAV.

Pixim closes $13 million in new funding 
   Pixim Inc. announces that it has closed $13 million in additional venture capital funding from existing investors Mayfield Fund, Ridgewood Capital and Tallwood Venture Capital.
