New Product Spotlight
Arecont Vision's Compact JPEG Megapixel Series of Cameras
Arecont Vision's new compact JPEG series of cameras in 1.3, 2, 3 or 5 megapixel formats. The CMOS sensor cameras were designed to address cost sensitivities in the JPEG market as well as the size constraints of environmental housings. Despite their compact size, the cameras are equipped with motion detection and 64 zone capability, and provide custom programmable resolution, brightness, saturation, gamma, sharpness and tint. The Arecont Vision Compact JPEG cameras function via PoE, eliminating the need for auxiliary power. In addition to color and day/night models, all Arecont Vision Compact JPEG cameras feature Moonlight™ mode: an extended exposure and proprietary noise canceling feature.

Working with IT: Focus of IP-in-Action LIVE Tennessee
"How to Work with IT to Ensure Installation Success" is the keynote presentation co-delivered by Paul Ingevaldson and Gary Slavin at IP UserGroup USA's, IP-In-Action LIVE Tennessee, on May 11, 2010 at the Willis Conference Center, Nashville, TN.
Gone are the days when you could walk into a client site and go about your business running cable and hanging panels in an isolated environment. Electronic security installations have become more intricate with the convergence of physical security and IT. Physical security data is migrating onto the corporate IP network necessitating the involvement of your client's IT personnel in your system design and installation.
Security, IT and the end user need to engage in an open dialogue prior to system design. Understanding project management practices, classic systems analysis and design, and using a Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) will ensure you meet or exceed customer expectations. Join our co-presenters, Paul Ingevaldson and Gary Slavin, as they offer tips from both the IT and Security sides of the industry on how to make sure all parties come to the table.
Paul M. Ingevaldson was the Senior Vice President of International and Technology for Ace Hardware Corporation for 25 years and has over 40 years in the IT business. Prior to Ace, Ingevaldson was employed with Sears, Roebuck & Co. for 13 years.
Gary Slavin has worked in the security industry for over 13 years in marketing, sales and product training. He assists organizations in determining the best methods for taking their company to the next level. Slavin is the author of Plan Your Success: Turn Your Dreams into Reality.
